چکیده

Lung cancer is responsible for more cancer-related death worldwide. Most lung patients have non-small cell cancers (NSCLC), with a low survival rate. Therefore, it necessary to study new and effective targeted therapies. Discoidin domain receptor 1 (DDR1) tyrosine kinase that can be promoted by collagen type I, dysregulation of DDR1 signaling involved in several phases tumorigenesis. Tumor growth metastasis depend on angiogenesis caused angiogenic factors, such as vascular endothelial factor (VEGF) fibroblast (FGF) secreted tumor cells. Thus, plays critical role progression. The current amid evaluate the expression alteration its effects factors VEGF-A, FGF-1, FGF2 NSCLC. A549 Calu-3 cells were treated I transfected small interfering RNA (siRNA). Then, relative DDR1, FGF-2 was evaluated using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). concentration calculated Human Angiogenesis 17-plex discovery assay. According our data, could stimulate cells, upregulation resulted significant increase VEGF-A expression, but did not induce FGF-1 expression. Moreover, suppression significantly decrease findings suggest mediated siRNA may affect associated represent treatment approach.

Expression of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor and the association with Demographic and Prognostic Factors in Patients with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Introduction: Growth, proliferation, survival, and differentiation are the prominent characteristics of cells, which are affected by cancer. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) plays a pivotal role in the effective control of these features. Given the significance of EGFR signaling pathway in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), EGFR expression is influential on these cell characteristics. I...

Discoidin domain receptor 1 is associated with poor prognosis of non-small cell lung carcinomas.

Discoidin domain receptors (DDRs) are a novel class of receptor tyrosine kinases that bind to several collagens and facilitate cell adhesion. DDR1 is involved in cancer invasion. However, very limited data are available on the aspect of clinical significance of DDR1 expression in cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate prognostic impact of DDR1 expression in non-small cell lung carcino...

The Effect of Time-dependent Prognostic Factors on Survival of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer using Bayesian Extended Cox Model

Abstract Background: Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers around the world. The aim of this study was to use Extended Cox Model (ECM) with Bayesian approach to survey the behavior of potential time-varying prognostic factors of Non-small cell lung cancer. Materials and Methods: Survival status of all 190 patients diagnosed with Non-Small Cell lung cancer referring to hospitals in ...

Expression of Id-1 and VEGF in non-small cell lung cancer.

Angiogenesis is essential for invasive tumor growth and metastasis. Bevacizumab has been widely used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Various studies clearly demonstrate the relevance of Id-1 and VEGF in angiogenesis. The aim of this study was to establish the role of Id-1 expression in tumor progression and angiogenesis in relation to VEGF in NSCLC. Seventy five patient...

A review of the role of dopamine receptors and novel therapeutic strategies in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)

Lung cancer is a very aggressive and most deadly cancer in both men and women. Lung cancer is divided into two types of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NSCLC is divided into 3 subgroups: adenocarcinoma (AC), squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) and large cell carcinoma (LCC). Dopamine is involved in controlling motions, cognition, emotions, memory and reward mech...
